Atami Plum Garden3.4
Atami Plum Garden (Atami Baien), famous for its "earliest-blooming plum blossoms in Japan",as well as "the latest-changing autumn leaves in Japan" because of Atami's warm climate.
There are 472 plum trees of 58 different varieties on its 4.4-hectare site. And there are both early and late blooming plum trees, so visitors can enjoy viewing plum blossoms longer here than anywhere else. Visitors can enjoy the seasonal changes that occur all year round, including the cherry blossoms of spring, the fresh green leaves of early summer, and the crimson leaves of autumn.
Atami Plum Garden is crowded with lots of visitors during Plum Festival(mid-Jan. to mid-Mar.) and Momiji Festival(mid-Nov. to early-Dec.)

I went there for red leaves on 9 Dec 2019. A day after night illumination festival, no entrance fee was required. But the red leaves were still looks amazing. It was not just red, it was colourful with a spectrum of red, yellow, green, brown, black ... Worth visiting!

Currently not a lot of plum and couldn’t see the waterfall but overall it’s very beautiful. Maybe towards March, it would be prettier.
