This shrine is a place to pray for pregnancy and safe childbirth. It is always packed with expecting couples, newly-weds, and parents celebrating the one-month anniversary of their babies. Since dogs are believed to have an easy labor, the shine features a dog statue with her puppy. There is a flea market on the 5th of each month with vendors selling food and amulets. Within a walking distance, you can find many shops selling sweets like Ningyo-yaki ('doll cakes') and restaurants serving lunch in rice bowls.
