Enoshima is a popular touristy island in the city of Fujisawa just off the coast connected by a sand spit and bridge. The 60m-high wooded hill in the western has a shrine to Benten, a goddess of good fortune, literature and music. The lower eastern side has a large yacht harbor, created for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, and a venue hosting yacht race competitions.

The recommended sightseeing route is that you walk the shrine approach line with shops, ride a long escalator to visit the shrine buildings, then move on to the observation tower. Another route takes you to a fountain near the car park, then to wide walkway jutting out in the sea to take a glimpse of the marina and a lighthouse where many people gather for fishing.
