The 70-story Landmark Tower, built in 1993, is Japan's second highest skyscraper at 296m, following Abano Harukasu in Osaka at 300m. On the 69th floor is the Sky Garden observatory where you can get views of Yokohama and Tokyo, and on clear days Mount Fuji. The building boasts one of the fastest elevators in the world (45km/h), which takes you to the observatory in 40 seconds.

The lower five floors are occupied by the Landmark Plaza shopping mall, and the Dockyard Garden in the basement is a square surrounded by restaurants. The square's design is a replica of Japan's oldest dockyard which was in operation in the port of Yokohama from 1896 until 1973.

Close and convenient to two train/metro stations. Good selection of nice stores and restaurants. A hidden Jade that I found out late is: deep in the basement level there are a dozen more Japanese restaurants with the traditional settings (surrounding a dry canal configuration) - definitely worth visiting

The place is very beautiful. You can go up and see the beautiful view of Cosmo Clock, Fuji San and sea. The evening feels too beautiful when you see the light twinkling down. The Landmark Tower area is very happening to have a walk around. Also, it offers a great variety of food and entertainment around! The place is must visit!

The Royal Park Hotel is stunning, I would go back in a heart beat. The staff are very friendly and professional. They all seemed to know American English which is great. The rooms are amazing.

You are in Yakohoma? Yes do it. It does not cost that much. 9 € or 900 yen. Every one can survive that. You can see everything from that sky-high building. It has some history descriptions and it looks on 4 sides of the city. It has the fastest lift in the world.

Good choice of restaurants and bars. Access to shoreline. Avoid Hard Rock Cafe it's a rip off. Try the Italian Bar which has an all you can drink deal and interesting menu.

I have some proposals including visiting Landmark Tower in Yokohama.
As I mentioned in my profile, I will pick you up at the entrance of your hotel, then bring you to Yokohama by train. After this short trip, you will be able to buy train ticket and chose right train by yourself. This small but sometime difficult "skill" for visitors make you easy to go anywhere you want.

Let me help you enjoy your Japan visiting!
