Around the fives lakes (Kawaguchi, Saiko, Shoji, Motosu and Yamanaka), people flock to this retreat to seek summer respite. Attractions range from outdoor sport activities in the fantastic nature to experiences in workshops, museums and amusement parks, enjoyable to all ages.

Any spot around the lakes has great views of Mount Fuji, and painters and photographers visit here for their artworks throughout the year.
