Marie Claire Street is a shopping street which is located south of Jiyugaoka Station, Tokyo. It was named after the French fashion magazine "marie claire" of which the Japanese version was first published in 1982. Along with paralleling Kuhonbutsugawa Ryokudo Street, which is a tree-lined avenue, it consists the popular district with European cafes, restaurants, boutiques and knickknack shops. The annual Marie Claire Festival is held in May and you can see French national flags all over the area, where you can enjoy seeing live performances of chanson or street performances next to French wine and food stalls.
