Pieces of stoneware and Jomon pottery excavated from the shellmounds are on display in the exhibition room. Extensive exhibits related to Kasori Midden
You can tour.

The museum is open from 9:00 to 17:00
Admission is possible and the fee is free 😸

About 5000 years ago in the hall
About 3000 years ago from the middle to the late Jomon period

Excavated at Kasori Midden

Earthenware, clay figurines, human bones (including buried dog bones), etc.
Many exhibits were on display 😺

Also, at Kasori Midden, which occurred nearly 60 years ago.
You can also learn about the history of the conservation movement in Japan.

Although the museum is a free facility

Extensive exhibits and well-preserved
I feel a good impression. 😺

In addition, Kasori Midden is treated as a national treasure.
It is designated as a special historic site to receive.

Other special historic sites are designated
Including the famous Sannai-Maruyama site in Aomori prefecture

There are three places.

Kasori Midden is the fourth special historic site in Japan
I received the designation.

By the way, it was designated as a special historic site for the first time in Kaizuka.
This is the first designation in Chiba prefecture.

Kasori Midden is the pride of Chiba 😸

At the entrance of the museum

Cute white dog PR ambassador and image character
Casoline welcomes visitors.

He especially loves old people 😸

By looking for the remains of the pillars that supported the furnace and roof of the house, you can see how the building was made and how it was used. At the end of the village of Kasori Midden, which lasted for 2,000 years, you can see how many houses were in the village and the actual situation of living.

It is a very meaningful place for people involved in Japanese history (especially archeology). It's also a park, so it's suitable for running and outdoors.

It's funny. You can travel back in time to the Jomon period.
