Yufuin Onsen4.1
Yufuin Onsen Resort is a popular hot spring resort, located about 10km inland from Beppu, stretches over a flat river basin surrounded by mountains.
This resort boasts Japan's third largest water volume, and not only 150 of its Japanese-style inns but also ordinary residences use hot spring waters.
The Yufuin's skyline is marked by the twin peaked Mount Yufu (1583m), and the town is fringed with Lake Kinrinko and sprawling rice fields.
The inns are dotted out in the nature-rich environment, and most of them allow day trippers to indulge in outdoor baths, restaurants and cafes.
The main street is lined with trendy boutiques, art galleries, small museums, and attracting amblers.
We recommend visitors to rent a bike or take a rickshaw to see around the town.
