Kujukuri Beach (Kujukuri-hama)3.5
Kujukuri-hama is a 66-kilometer(41-mile)-long coast facing the Pacific Ocean on the east coast of Boso Peninsula, Chiba Prefecture, stretching between the Cape Gyobu in Asahi City and the Cape Taito in Isumi City (Kujukuri literally means 99 miles). Though the sea is rough as it faces to the open sea, Kujukuri Beach is an excellent location for marine leisure due to its shallow sandy beaches. There are a number of beaches suited for sea bathing and/or surfing along the coast, including Katakai Beach, Ichinomiya Beach, Sakuda Beach, Fudodo Beach and Magame Beach.
Selected as one of Japan's Top 100 White Sand and Green Pines and Japan's Top 100 Beaches.

Nice, beach with solid waves for surfing. Occasionally a funky smell comes through on the beach itself, but it's not noticeable at all while in the water. It's a bit out of the way and so it's nice because it's not super crowded, maybe about 20-30 surfing early in the morning on a Saturday. Bring sunscreen!
