"The Little Prince Museum" in Hakone is the world's first museum themed on the world of the novel "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. The museum opened in June 1999 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the author of The Little Prince, Saint-Exupéry’s birth. In the exhibition hall, various belongings of Saint-Exupéry such as photos, letters, and personal items are displayed to introduce his whole life. It recreates Saint-Exupery's childhood room and introduce his life and his novel through movies. Visitors can also enjoy strolling around the early 20th-century French town recreated outside, and the European garden with seasonal flowers.
